Monteforno (Mini Steel Mill with  Rolling Mill for Long Products)

Our first complete Steel Mill, purchased from Von Roll. Closed due to overcapacity in Switzerland.

Capacity 1 million Ton per Year , sold in its entirety to Indonesia. It included Equipment like Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Furnace, Continuous Caster, Rebar Mill including Baghouses, Water Treatment Plant,  Scrap Preparation, Workshops, Repair Shops, Laboratory,  Internal Transport etc.)

  

 

Inexa Profil (Steel and Rolling Mill)

Lulea, Sweden

 

In February 2004 CBI purchased all of the assets at the INEXA PROFIL Works in the North Eastern  Swedish City Lulea from the Receivers. A Complete Meltshop and Rolling Mill for Rail and Heavy Profile, all installed in buildings with a total area of 200'000 sq/m.

During the summer of 2004 we sold the complete manufacturing facility to an Iranian Steel Producer. The dismantling of all equipment (25'000 Tonnes) took almost two years and was shipped to Iran.

  

 

Siemens Power Generation (Manufacturer of Turbines and Compressors)

Hengelo, Netherlands

 

When Siemens decided to consolidate its Manufacturing into one Factory in Germany and keep only the Service Department in Hengelo, CBI purchased all of the Heavy Production Machine Tools (Horiz. And Vert Borers, Heavy Duty Lathes, Planomills etc) in the spring of 2004; These Heavy Duty Machine Tools were sold piece by piece to customers in China, South Korea, Italy, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands within a period of 4 months.

 

 

Franz Oberascher (Grey Iron Foundry)

Salzburg, Austria 

When Franz Oberascher went bankrupt late 2003, the Receiver tried to sell the company to somebody, who would continue its activities; unfortunately the receiver did not succeed and

CBI purchased all assets in April 2004. Fortunately for all parties concerned CBI was able to sell the Non-Ferrous Foundry Department to the former Management, now called " OBERASCHER MANUFAKTUR"; CBI liquidated the Grey Iron Foundry and sold the equipment piece by piece to Foundries in Eastern and Western Europe as well as North Africa and the Middle East.

 

 

Excel Machine Tools

A well known machine tool builder, was put under judicial management (receivership) in 2003; the judicial managers tried to find a buyer for the company, but failed to find a buyer and during the first quarter of 2005 decided to sell the assets, CBI purchased all assets, including the Inventory of Finished Machine Tools and the Parts Inventory, the Intellectual Property Rights as well as the Plant & Equipment. CBI sold the production machine tools to buyers from India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and China, the Finished Machine Tools to customers in Singapore, Malaysia and India. The large inventory of new Fanuc electronic parts were sold to a U.S.A. buyer; the inventory of new parts was sold to a Taiwanese company and the Intellectual Property Rights were sold to a Chinese buyer.

 

 

LBP (formerly known as UCA)

Liege,Belgium

 

In January 2005 CBI purchased the assets of LBP (formerly known as UCA) in Liege, Belgium from the official appointed liquidators and started a Sale by Private Treaty of all Machinery & Equipment; the Foundry Equipment was sold to users in France, Thailand and Bulgaria. Major items of the Rolling Mill were sold to users in China, Czech Republic and Turkey, while the rest of the equipment was sold to users in Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Turkey and India; a few items remained in Belgium. It took a little over two years to market, sell, dismantle and remove all items from site.

 

 

 

Outokumpu HME, Casting Plant

Waalwijk, the Netherlands

 

When Outokumpu HME decided to close down their Casting Plant in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, they contacted CBI and sold their complete casting plant to us in March 2005. It took a while to find the right Buyer, but early 2007 the complete casting plant was sold and shipped to a user in Serbia.

 

 

 

Europa Metalli, Campo Tizzoro Rolled Division

Campo Tizzoro ( S.Marcello) Italy.

 

In 2005 the board of KME decided to close down their "Europa Metalli", Campo Tizzoro Rolled Division in Campo Tizzoro ( S.Marcello) Italy.

CBI (Core Business Industries BV) purchased all of the assets from this Copper/Copper Alloy-, Strip- Fabricating Plant with an annual output of 30.000 Tonnes, using some sophisticated Rolling Mills (Tandem Mill, 4-Hi Cold Rolling Mills, Skinpass Mill), Slitting Lines, Cut-to-Length Lines, Floating Furnaces and Bell Furnaces, Pickling Lines and Levellers. CBI sold most of the Equipment within one year to clients in Eastern Europe, India, and Middle East, Brazil and even some EU countries.

 

 

Draka Wire Ltd. Llanelli Works

South Wales (UK)

 

Draka announced the closure of their Llanelli Works in South Wales (UK) in 2008, in late December 2008 CBI ( Core Business Industries BV) acquired all of the available Plant & Machinery fom Draka Wire UK, at that time still in operation. When production ceased in May 2009, CBI had already made a number of sales and could start delivering the Machinery to clients in India, Turkey, Korea, Germany and Belgium; the major items were sold in one big package to a client in Morocco. All Plant & Machinery were shipped before the end of 2009.
